Subversive tactics
Institutional micro hacking

How do you navigate the poor institutional conditions of art academia that doesn't invest or support your profession, it is stripped of any value and context yet demands your contribution as an artist and a cultural worker?

One that seeks to put new artist to the scene yet doesn't think to create a lively art scene?

One that only builds frameworks of limitations?

You don't complain, because even that is a privileged work. You don't stay passive either, but act in micro movements of solidarity, critical awareness and support filling in the gaps.

Through series of lectures, workshops, residencies it tries to foster an atmosphere of idea exchange and multidisciplinary collaboration. It operates similarly as a DIWO and BUFU program with a goal to showcase that many things are possible if we try to cooperate and work together in order to learn and produce something valuable for us. The project functions with a principle of shared resources, we all contribute with resources that we have.. Translation

flowers

Frederico Fellini ones said that “A different language is a different vision of life.”Translation flowers is an all female group whose members are Inkeri Jantti (FI), Nancy Dewhurst (UK) and Sunčica Pasuljević Kandić (RS). "Translation flowers" is an English translation of the Finnish word "käännöskukkaset". It refers to the ironical, weird and in most cases bad word translation of the TV shows. Coming from three different language and cultural backgrounds the group is interested in exploring these different visions. Seeking out other modes of collaboration, communication and language they work at the intersection of various media. Thanks to TaikaBox we now continue to collaborate through practice-led art research as an artist trio

Ambiental
practicums

Ambient practicums is a series of spacial experiments by students of the 2nd year of the New Media Art department. Moving towards awareness of the ambiance of space in the context of art is moving towards conscious sensitivity to the environment. This requires the exploration of spatial relations of space, practically moving and acting within the space and communicating with it. Students' interventions in the space present expressions of this experimental exploration and conceptualization of space. Thus we witness the physical and ambient transforming of space that becomes social, artistic, meaningful and psychological.

Young Danube

Stream exhibition

As artists and academics we always think how can we approach new generations of emerging artist and engage them directly in to the art scene. Young Danube Stream was an exhibition that enable our students to gain practical knowledge and experience. The exhibition gathered students works that responded to the subject of water in a way that is engaging them and challenges them to create in a domain that is outside of their everyday learning practice. We saw water as a tool and material of art making and as a teaching tool. Through mentorship sessions and group workshops we worked with students of Fine art department on visual research related to water. The result we got showed a spectrum of diverse modes of thinking and making.
